About

My creative path began in the newspaper industry, where I spent much of my career channeling artistic energy into marketing and subscription development. Yet art has always been central to my identity. Although I studied art in college, I didn’t discover clay until much later—when a long-standing love of design, graphics, and color finally led me to the tactile joy of ceramics.

As a clay artist, I explore surface design through a blend of structure and spontaneity. Using hand-cut paper and underglazes, I build layered compositions of color and form. Glazes, wax, and impressions from antique lace introduce texture, depth, and moments of unexpected movement.

I’m drawn to clean, geometric lines and vibrant color, but I welcome the fluidity of shifting glaze. It softens symmetry, blurs boundaries, and transforms bold statements into something more relaxed and organic.

My work is a balance of intention and surprise—an invitation to pause, notice the details, and enjoy the interplay between order and motion.
